Khan Murjan was built by the philosopher Prince Amin al-Din Marjan Mawla of the King of Iraq and Sultan of Baghdad Uwais al-Ikhani in the year 1356 AD. It is located on the side of Rusafa behind the building of the Central Bank of Iraq.
